Mr. Juan Morado Resident of O'Donnell

Juan “Johnny” Carlos Morado, 60, of O’donnell, Texas, passed away on March 25th, 2021. Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by the rosary at Grace Funeral & Cremation Care – Legacy Chapel in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O’Donnell, Texas. Burial will follow at Gail Cemetery in Gail, Texas.  Juan was born in Laredo, Texas to Jesus and Francisca Morado on April 20, 1960.  Juan was an avid collector and lover of fast cars and Rock-n-Roll.  He spent his life working on the farm, driving that green John Deere tractor.  Juan Morado was a humble, quiet, mild mannered man with a loving gentle heart.  He was honest, trustworthy, generous and always willing to help someone in need.  He never expected praise, rather he lived a very private life.  If you ever were to encounter Juan, he would always have a smile on his face and a cold bottle of soda in his hand.  We will miss our gentle giant.  Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Francisca Morado, his grandmother Adela Benavidez and Carlos Benavidez Juan is survived by his sister Ruby Martinez, his nieces Cindy Martinez, June Ella Martinez, Talia Martinez, an uncle Shon Morado, uncles Morado in Michigan.  Juan was a great uncle to Dakoda Delao in College Station, Ryan Delao, Luka, Gael and Novi Galindo from Austin, Texas. Pallbearers will be Alfonso “Jr.” Benavidez, Phillip Benavidez, Peter Benavidez, Jaden Benavidez, Ricardo Castillo, Joshua Ramirez, Justin Ramirez, Diego Bernal, George Vasquez. The Martinez Family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Covenant Hospital, along with the doctors, nurses, and staff for their care and compassion shown to our beloved Uncle Juan.  We would also like to thank our incredibly wonderful family Benavidez for their love, support, hospitality, generosity.  They provided a tremendous light of serenity and peace during our days of great sadness.  To all family members and friends that have donated, sent condolences, love and prayer, there are no sufficient words to express our gratitude.  We appreciate and love every one of you. God bless you.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. Such a kind young man. Did not hear about his passing until the funeral had already been. Would have certainly been at the graveside. Prayers of comfort for all of you.
