Ms. San Juana "Janie" Ballejo of Lubbock

San Juana Gutierrez Ballejo, (Janie Or Juana) 67, of Lubbock passed peacefully on Saturday August 29, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 10, 1953 in Robstown, Tx to Innocencio & the late Olivia Gutierrez. She married the late Ramon Ballejo on November 13, 1976.  She was a devoted mother who loved her children dearly. She worked at UMC for 6 years as a dietician.  Janie enjoyed cooking, catering, music, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her father; Innocencio Gutierrez,  2 sons; Damian Juarez and Juan Ramon Ballejo both of Lubbock. And 2 Daughters; Yesenia and husband Adam Rosales, Olivia Erica and husband OJ Gilbert. Two grandsons; Dominique Zuniga and Zion Ballejo. Five granddaughters; Kimberly & husband Derek Juarez, Mikalya Ballejo, Jaylee Ivey, Rachel Ballejo and Leah Ballejo and three great granddaughters Karsynn, Kimbrynn & Kelynn Juarez. Two Sisters; Silvia Gutierrez of Lubbock, TX and Lilia and husband Mateo Reyes of Idalou, Texas. Four brothers Joe and wife Yolanda Gutierrez of Lubbock, Tx, David and wife Cindy Gutierrez of Petersburg, Tx, Rafael Gutierrez of San Antonio, Tx and Innocencio Jr. and wife Anita Gutierrez of Petersburg, Tx.  Along with many nieces and nephews to include a host of other relatives and friends.  On behalf of our family would like to say thank you to the nurses and staff of Hospice of the South Plains for caring for our dear mother during the final moments of her life.
