Mr. Armando S. Hinojosa Sr. Resident of Wilson

Armando Hinojosa Sr. 64, of Wilson gained his wings on January 30, 2022 at his residence with family at his bedside. A visitation will be held Sunday February 6, 2022 5-8 p.m. at the Legacy Chapel of Grace Funeral Care Inc. located at 3418 Interstate 27 in Lubbock. A funeral service celebrating his life will take place Monday February 7, 2022 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wilson.

 

Armando was born on December 29,1958  in Lockney, Texas to Pablo and Hortensia Hinojosa. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 granddaughters.

 

Armando is survived by his wife Lydia Hinojosa, one brother; Gilbert Hinojosa of Brownfield, 2 sisters;  Rafela Sias of Anton, and Nicolosa Frausto of Littlefield. Armando was a devoted husband to his wife and loved her until the end. He always wanted a big family and did by leaving a legacy of sons  and daughters. Together they raised 5 sons; Armando Hinojosa Jr. from Lorenzo, Albert Hinojosa of Wilson, Adam Hinojosa of Slaton, Arthur Hinojosa of Wilson, Arnold Ortiz of Wilson, 7 daughters; Norma Hinojosa of Lorenzo, Albertha Hinojosa of Wilson, Bertha Hinojosa of Floydada, Jennifer Hinojosa of Ralls, Jessica Hinojosa of Lorenzo, Lisa Hinojosa of Crosbyton, Mandy Hinojosa of Slaton and 26 grandchildren. 

 

Armando loved spending time with his family and grandchildren as they played in his yard. He loved having bbq and a few drinks with his sons around the camp fire. He was has story teller and made jokes to make you laugh. He enjoyed his garden which he planted in his back yard, often wanting everyone to take home fruits and veggies. Armando worked as a farmer all his life. Being a people person, he made friends everywhere he went. He also enjoyed music, dancing and singing. But most of all, his family was the most important thing in his life. HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY....
