Mr. Clarence "Leon" Whisenhunt passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on February 23, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 78. Leon was born on November 27th, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to his parents Opel and Hazel Whisenhunt. He loved loved NASCAR and was dedicated to taking care of his life partner, Nikki and family.
Leon is survived by his life partner; Nioka Fallin of Lubbock, step children; John Fallin and wife Amanda of Huntsville Alabama, Charles Lynn Fallin of Conroe, Texas, Genita Dove and husband Shane of Lubbock, Sarah Woody and husband Paul of Lubbock and his 4 children. He has left behind four sisters; Alice Tidmore, Judy Phillips and Shirley Salmon all of Lubbock and Chris Hammond of Oklahoma. Leon also left behind many grandchildren and great grand children who adored him dearly. And many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Opel and Hazel Whisenhunt and two sisters; Laura and Doris.
Leon was a loving Dad, Grandpa, son and brother. He loved hard and was very stubborn at times but he loved no one more than the love of his life, Nikki and would do anything in the world for anyone that he knew. Leon was taken too soon and there will be forever a void in our lives without him, but we know that he is celebrating with his family in heaven. There will be a celebration of life on a later date to be announced.
