Mr. Jesse "Jayare" Roque Guel II Resident of Lubbock

Jesse "Jayare" Roque Guel II 40, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday February 26, 2022, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. A visitation will be held Sunday March 6, 2022, 12-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Grace Funeral Care located at 6604 Interstate 27. A funeral service celebrating his life will take place Monday March 7, 2022, 11 a.m. at Hispana Baptist Church located at 111 82^nd Street with Pastor Joe Lopez, Officiating. He will be laid to rest in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Jesse was born September 20, 1981, Fresno, CA to the parents of Jesus “Jesse” Guel and Debbie A. Cortez. Jesse graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, NM. A creative in his own right, he enjoyed freehand drawing, designing, and his prized enjoyment, painting cars. Not only did he paint cars, but Jesse also enjoyed classic cars with a “Old School” flare. He recently worked painting cars. He was simply a car fanatic. Jesse had a passion for his family and enjoyed their company. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and never missed an opportunity to watch a game! He was a DIEHARD fan.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; Debbie Saldana (Martin), his father; Jesus “Jesse” Guel (Angela). He also leaves behind his son; Jonathan R. Guel, siblings; Mirea Saldana, Nikki Saldana, Anthony Saldana, Aaron Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Angelo Salas, and Isabella Guel, his paternal grandmother; Martina Guel, maternal grandmother Irene Cortez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Guadalupe Cortez and Roque F. Guel, aunt; Jody Cortez, and uncles; Roger Guel and Israel Guel. Jesse will be missed by his family, friends, and many others.
