Mr. Jose M. Tijerina Resident of Wolfforth

Mr. Jose M. Tijerina 59, of Wolfforth passed away on Friday January 28, 2022, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. A visitation will be held Thursday February 10, 2022, 5-8 p.m. with rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at the Chapel of Grace Funeral Care in Brownfield. A celebration of life service will take place next day February 11, 2022, 11 a.m. in at the same location. Jose will be laid to rest in the Ropesville Cemetery. Jose was born March 23, 1963, to Jacinto and Francisca Tijerina in Iraan, Texas. Jose married the love of his life Mrs. Guadalupe Cortez and remained married for 41 years. Mrs. Tijerina was loved tremendously by Jose. He was her first boyfriend. Jose was a hard worker and always provided for his wife, children, and family. A mechanic by trade, he spent majority of his years working as a farmer. He loved music, especially Nortenos. He also loved horse and at some point, owned several.  Jose loved his grandchildren as well. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Mrs. Guadalupe Tijerina, sons; Joe (Lydia), Ruben (Michelle), Gregory (Erica), daughters; Monica (Jose), Rosemary (Arturo), and Angie. He also leaves behind his father; Jacinto Tijerina, sisters; Irene and Guadalupe (Roberto), brothers; Domingo (Sandra), Jesse (Diane), and Jacinto Jr. (Priscilla), 10 grandchildren; Abiel, Houstin, Joelean, Zoey, Mario, Francisca, Sergio, Jacob, Diego, and 3 soon to be born. He is preceded in death by his mother; Francisca Tijerina.
