Ross D. Hodges Sr. “Danny” 58, of Lubbock passed away on Friday May 20, 2022. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday May 31, 2022, 6 p.m. at the Chapel of Grace Funeral Care located at 6604 I-27 in Lubbock. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Danny loved to watch wrestling on Monday nights which was his favorite time of the week. But he loved his family more and would do anything he could to show his love and care for them. He was especially fond of his grandchildren. He was soft hearted towards his grandchildren and always kept an open door to anyone who needed a safe place to stay or something good to eat. Our family loved his cooking, especially his Menudo. He was the glue that kept our family together. Aside from his love for cooking, he was generally a hard-working man. Though sick, he never complained.
We will miss him and his personality. Danny was a “die hard” Dallas Cowboys fan and no one could tell him otherwise. He preceded in death by his mother; Mary M. Hodges, father; Joe Alcorta, brothers; Kenneth Hodges, and Robert Hodges. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Diane G. Hodges, daughters; Melissa Reyes Huerta, Macaria, Danielle Hodges, Adrianna Castillo, and Renee Armendariz. He also leaves behind, his sons; Lee Hodges (Crystal), Ross D. Hodges Jr, his sisters; Sonya Hodges, Natalie Hodges, Joann Perales (Larry), Patty Hodges, 18 grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends.
Services are entrusted to the professionals of Grace Funeral Care Inc.
