Mr. Simon C. Rosales Resident of Ropesville

Simon C. Rosales, 77, of Ropesville, TX, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2023. He took his final breath, surrounded by his children, in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be held Sunday June 4, 2023 4-8 p.m. at Grace Funeral Care located at 6604 Interstate 27 in Lubbock. A celebration of life service will take place next day, Monday June 5, 2023 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church-Ropesville 403 Main Street. He will be laid to rest in the Ropesville Cemetery along side other relatives.

 Simon was born on June 7, 1945, to Raymond and Juanita Rosales, in Dewitt County.

He married the love of his life, Ida Montes, on September 16, 1968, in Ropesville. They were married 48 years, before preceding him in death, on November 10, 2016. Together they shared four children and nine grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Nelda Cruz and husband, Andy of Ropesville,  Jerry Rosales and wife, Julia of Lombard, IL, Adam Rosales and wife, Yesenia of Lubbock, and Nancy Galley and husband Jonathan of Lubbock; grandchildren, Brandan Cruz, Andrew and Leticia Cruz, Kristen and Lillianna Rosales, Isaiah Rosales, Dominique Zuniga, Bryn and Jonah Galley; sister, Alvira Gonzales of Yoakum; brothers, Sam Rosales and Ernest Rosales of Yoakum; best friend/dog, Chiquito of Ropesville.
