Mr. Margarito Alonzo Sr. Resident of Meadow

Margarito Alonzo Sr, 76 passed away on January 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Presilliano Alonzo and Conception Patlan on August 19, 1944. Margarito married his wife Adelita Martinez on January 4, 1977.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and soon to be great-great grandfather.  He loved his family and devoted to his wife.  He also enjoyed fishing and sports.   His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.   He spent a big part of his retirement with his family especially his two youngest sons at their auto and body repair shop “Big Boys Kustoms”.   Him and his wife would often take weekend getaways at their son’s Frank Quintanilla’s home in Denver City, Texas.  He made every effort to attend all the sporting events and family functions.  All his family considers him a true Super Hero and he is loved by many. He worked for George Ausburn’s Water Well Service in Meadow, Texas for 18 years.  During his time at the Well Service he also did some woodwork.  Then he went into farming with Keith & Ray Cato in Meadow until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his daughter; Grace Solorzano, grandsons; Victor Anthony Cruz, Joe Louise Martinez, Rick Anthony Rosales, and Great-granddaughter; Alyiah Joe Alcorta. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife; Mrs. Adelita Alonzo, 4 daughters; Diana Quintanilla of Meadow, Mary Garcia (Esequiel) of Meadow, Leticia Quintanilla (Danny) from Lubbock, and Mandy Cruz from Meadow. His also leaves to cherish his memory, 5 sons; Francisco Quintanilla III from Denver City, Richard Quintanilla, Tony Quintanilla, Margarito Alonzo Jr., and Alex Alonzo from Meadow and 1 sister; Lupe Solorzano of Tahoka. His legacy will continue through his 18 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.  Family and friends will celebrate his life on Friday January 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Grace Funeral Care with burial to follow in the Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday January 21, 2021 5-8 p.m. at Grace Funeral Care. Service entrusted to the professionals of Grace Funeral Care Inc.  ~ When You Desire The Best of Service ~
