Mr. Ruben Ortiz Resident of Lubbock

Ruben M. Ortiz 84 of Lubbock, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 12, 2020.  He was born on March 29, 1935 in Hobson, Texas to Julio and Seferina Ortiz.  He married Natividad L. Ortiz on September 16, 1957. Ruben loved life to the fullest. He was a painter for 56 years. He loved to dance, he was a hard working man, he loved family, he was a great husband, dad, grandpa, and uncle. He is preceded in death by his wife Natividad, two sons; Pedro and Julio Ortiz, and his parents; Julio and Seferina Ortiz.  He leaves to cherish his precious memories, four sons; Gilbert, Andy, Jimmy, and Ruben all of Lubbock. Two daughters; Seferina of Hurst, and Priscilla of Lubbock. 12 grandchildren,  24 great-grandchildren,  and 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and a host of  nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Family and friends will celebrate his life on Saturday January 23, 2021 with services commencing at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Worship Center followed by burial in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday January 22, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Worship Center.  Service entrusted to the professionals of Grace Funeral Care Inc.  ~ When You Desire The Best of Service ~
