Mrs. Christine ”Chris” Nance was born in Hollywood, Ca on July 5th 1944 to Wally and Bonnie Campbell. She married in California and had 2 daughters. She brought her family to Lubbock Texas where she eventually remarried. Meme, as she loved to be called, was a happy soul who loved her husband, her girls and her grandsons ferociously. She looked for the positivity in life, enjoying the simple things like cloud watching, good game shows, and the occasional hummingbird that would buzz by the kitchen window before feeding at the hummingbird feeder.
She had many tremendous friends who she loved to workout with and have a weekly lunch date at Buns Over Texas. Though diagnosed with a monster of a cancer, she never lost sight of her positive ways and showed everyone around her that although you
may be going through a rough time, you can still be kind and thoughtful and most importantly look for the love in everything. Her last days in the hospital room were filled with joy, kindness, humor, friendship, family and love that enveloped everyone close to her.
She passed away peacefully on August 4, 2021 at 77 years young. Meme will be so very missed by those that loved her. She leaves behind her
husband, Wayne Nance, her oldest daughter, Kelle Fralick, youngest daughter, Becky Brayton, her
favorite son in law John Brayton and her two grandsons Houston “Huey” Fralick and Dalton “D” Mraz as well as her Blue-Eyed Baby Boy Brodi. Until we meet again mom, we love you.
