Mrs. Josefa De Salinas Resident of Brownfield

Josefa Gutiérrez De Salinas 72, of Brownfield went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday January 6, 2021. Josefa passed away peacefully and comfortably surrounded by the love of her children. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday January 12, 2021,  vigil service at 6pm, following Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Service Wednesday 13, 2021 at 11am. with burial to follow at 12 noon in the Brownfield Cemetery with Rev. Joe Kochuparambil. Pastor Ricardo Morin will officiant.  Josefa was born on January 12, 1948 in Dr. Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Carmen Gutiérrez and Nemecio Gutiérrez. Josefa was raised in Mexico. She married Jose Luz Salinas on December 10, 1975 in Mexico. They moved to the United Stated in February of 1994. She was a loving and caring person. She loved to cook, spend time with family, watch novelas and read her bible. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and she always made sure that they knew she loved them. She is preceded in death by two sons (little angels), her parents, a twin sister Esther Gutiérrez De Huerta, a sister Maria Luisa Gutiérrez, and a brother Octavio Gutiérrez. She is survived by her husband Jose Luz Salinas, one daughter Maria Morin and husband Isidro of Brownfield, two sons Jose G. Salinas and wife Pamela of Brownfield, and Marcelo Salinas and wife Dina of Plainview. She is survived by 10 grandchildren Layla Morin, Andrea Arias Salinas, Anthony Salinas, Nain Salinas, Alexis Salinas, Alyssa Salinas, Aidan Salinas, Gael Salinas, Jeremiah Morin and Daleyza Salinas. She is survived by 4 sisters and 3 brothers Gloria Gutiérrez, Carmen Gutiérrez Salazar, Maria De La Luz Gutiérrez, Patricia Gutiérrez Torres, Nemecio Gutiérrez, Ramiro Gutiérrez, and Fernando Gutiérrez all of Mexico. Josefa’s family would like extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Hisel, Brownfield Family Physicians and Texas Home Health Hospice for their loving care and guidance.
