Mrs. Tonya Martinez of Lubbock

On July 7, 2020 we lost our beloved Tonya Leigh (Jeanes) Martinez. She was our Rock and protector always there to defend her friends and family. Tonya was born in Canyon, Texas on April 30, 1971 to Henry and Ann Jeanes. She attended schools in Portales, NM, graduating from River Road High School in Amarillo TX in 1989.  Tonya met Juan Martinez in the spring of 1996 then married him the love of her life on December 9 2000. Tonya loved dancing, watching football, softball, and spending time with her family and friends, but her heart and soul belonged to watching and supporting her children in sports. She was always there in the stands yelling and cheering them on to be the best they could be.Tonya had the biggest heart always wanting to help someone in need or when she saw their hurt. Tonya was taken to soon and we will miss her contagious smile, her full of life laugh  and her mesmerize beautiful blue eyes. A beautiful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many will be missed but never forgotten. Tonya was preceded in death by parents Henry Jeanes, Ann Jeanes, and brother Glenn Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband Juan Martinez and their 3 children: daughter Shyleigh Harris of Amarillo Tx, Son Hunter Tait Martinez and Daughter Remington Annelidia Martinez both of Lubbock Tx. Sisters Pat Bennefield, Pam Cooke, Jan Weathers, Shari Morrow all of Amarillo, Sheila Ferrer of Frisco and numerous niece, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
