Ms. Teresa Alvarado Rubio "Hema" Resident of Lubbock

Ms. Teresa Alvarado Rubio 62, of Lubbock Texas passed away October 10, 2021. She was born August 29, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas to Refugio “Cuco” Alvarado and Gloria Alvarado. She graduated from Lubbock High School. She worked for the Lubbock Independent School District for 26 years. She was a very loving and Hard working sister, mother, grand-mother and friend. She was a kind and a very giving person, loved by many and she loved her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her, sibling's; Gilbert Alvarado (Ina), Richard Alvarado Sr. , Refugio Alvarado Jr. , and Gloria Moreno; Daughters- Melissa Rubio, Amy Fletcher (Kweku)Two Grand-Daughters- Jazzlin Bustos(James Bustos Sr.) Jestine Zavala Two Grandsons- Adrian Rosa, Corey Pierce Jr., and four Great Grand children. She is preceded in death by Refugio “Cuco” Alvarado (Father) Gloria Alvarado (Mother), George Ybarra (brother), and RoseMary Alvarado (sister). She will be forever missed and in our hearts.

Family will receive guest and friends for a visitation on Sunday October 17, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Grace Funeral Care- Legacy Chapel 3418 Interstate 27. A mass of Christian burial will be Monday October 18, 2021 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest in the Resthaven Memorial Park.

The family of Ms. Rubio would like to invite all attending Monday's service to wear shades of purple to show support for Lupus Awareness.
