Ms. Sandra Kay Burris "Momma" Resident of Lubbock

Sandra Kay (Wade) Burris, age 67, of Lubbock, died Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Lubbock, TX. She was born October 7, 1954, in Oak Grove, LA to O.L. Wade and Catherine Bond Wade. She married Ernest Verldean Burris in Monahans, Texas at Bethany Baptist church on August 1, 1986.

Sandra had a servant's heart. She radiated the love of Jesus and lived each day to share her love of Jesus with everybody. Sandra was a member of Generations Church and sang with Joy Club at Church on the Rock in Lubbock, Texas. She loved to cook for family and friends. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She sang praise and worship in various churches throughout her life. She was involved in prison ministry with her husband Ernest Burris.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Burris, her father, O.L. Wade, her mother Catherine Engebrecht, her brothers Ronnie Wade and Byron Wade and granddaughter Chelsea Ward. She is survived by her six daughters, Carla Williams of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Laticia Hemphill of Lubbock, Texas, Angel Brodsky and her husband, Dustin of Tyler, Texas, Amy Burris of Tyler, Texas, Heather Hughes and her husband, Rick of Johnson City, Texas and Rebecca Hemphill of Little Elm, Texas; her son, Dustin Burris and his wife, Amy of Houston, Texas; her brothers, Dale Wade and his wife Teresa Wilson-Wade of Monahans, TX, David Wade and Victoria Wade of Monroe, Louisiana; her sixteen grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren.
