Ms. Marie A. "Severa" Rodriguez Resident of Lubbock "Tia Meme"

Our dearest mother, Severa Marie Rodriguez “Ma” entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 8th, 2022 after a brief illness. She was 79 years old.  She was born in Victoria, Tx to David Srand Virginia Aguero on November 6, 1943.  “Marie”, as she was better known, worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 26 years before she retired in 2007. She was always smiling and always had a kind word for everyone she encountered.  She left a legacy of love to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the rest of her family as well, but most importantly, she left a legacy of Christ, showing us the importance of having Him in our lives and loving Him above all things.  She loved her family and always gave her best to us.  She was a strong and loving woman who took on the role of both mother and father, always putting her children first. 

  She is survived by her four children, two daughters, Gina Rodriguez(Ray), Anissa Yvette Luera (Michael), two sons, Frank “Ant” Rodriguez, and David J. Rodriguez. She had five grand children, Mark Rodriguez(Melony), Haylei Rodriguez, Izalee Rodriguez, Edren Rodriguez, Amyrah Luera, and two step grandchildren Ray Marcus and Isaac Rodriguez.  She also had seven great grand children. She is also survived by three sisters, Linda Aguero, Yrma Espindola(Lupe), Glorian Aguero, one brother, Gary Aguero, and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
