Ms. Chanda Skaggs Formerly of Brownfield

Chanda Jillann Skaggs, 49, of Meadow, passed away on March 6, 2021, in Hockley County. The Skaggs family will receive friends on Friday, March 19, 2021, from 5pm to 8pm at Grace Funeral Care Chapel in Brownfield, TX. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 10am at Grace Funeral Care Chapel in Brownfield, with interment to follow at Terry County Cemetery in Brownfield. Chanda was born on April 20, 1971, to Melvin and Karen (Smith) Herrington in Brownfield, TX.  Chanda was an animal lover and most definitely loved her dog Meme. She was a peaceful woman who loved plants, especially her cactuses. She loved her family and children unconditionally. She was extremely loved, and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Karen, her husband, Brian Skaggs and one son, Dillon Skaggs. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Justin Skaggs and Derek Skaggs; brothers, Gary Shaun Bishop, Ty Chandler; sister, Kelly Gibson; 14 grand-children, 8 nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Matt Bayer.
