Ms. Mary Casias-Veanueva Resident of Lubbock

Ms. Mary “Rachel” Casias-Veanueva, 50, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in Lubbock, TX. The Veanueva family will receive guests from 5pm to 8 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Grace Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Lubbock, TX. A celebration of her life will be officiated by Brother Timmy Veanueva. Mary was born on October 31, 1970, to Rudy Casias and Margie Garcia in Lubbock, TX. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also known to attend softball games with her partner of 22 years, Martin Gomez. Mary also known as “Rachel” could found dining with her family, watching her favorite novelas, and traveling to as many Tejano concerts that she could. Mary was preceded in death by her mother; Margie Garcia, brothers; Jimmy and Rudy Casias Jr.  Nephew Eddie Casias and her precious grandson; Thomas Flores Gonzales Jr. Those left to cherish her memory are her, two children; Jimmy Andrea Veanueva-Gonzales (Thomas), and Simon Mark Veanueva Jr. her father; Rudy Casias, 8 grandchildren, and her siblings; Ruby Casias, Mark Casias, Becky Casias, Samantha and Eric Casias. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Her legacy will live on forever and she will be missed by us all.  The care of Mary has entrusted to the professionals of Grace Funeral Care Inc.
