Ms. Michelle Gere of Carlsbad, NM

On Monday, May 25, 2020 we lost our beloved, Michelle Lee Gere.   She was our entertainer, our laughter and a piece of our puzzle and without it things will never be the same.  Most importantly, she was an incredible mother, sister, friend,  aunt, daughter, and niece. Michelle Lee Gere was born September 23, 1983 in Carlsbad, NM to Thomas  Gere Jr. and Angela Annette Goshern.  Michelle was someone that brightened everyone's life.  She was taken too soon but will always be remembered by her  smile, her  personality, and  her beautiful eyes.  Her love was endless and she will not be forgotten.  Michelle graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2002.  She was certified as a nurse's assistant and worked for Landsun Homes. She was a hard worker  with a determination that could not stop her from anything. Michelle, was an athlete her entire life.  She started playing softball when she was young. She fell in love with the sport and played all throughout her life. She was part of  some amazing softball teams that always reached the highest accomplishments. She played for  Speed softball  and traveled to many places.  Michelle was preceded in death by her father Thomas Michael Gere Jr, grandparents; Thomas Gere Sr., Vesta Gere, and Charlotte Goshern.  She is survived by her loving boys Eric and Drew Anderson,  her mother; Angela Gere brothers; Thomas and Daniel Gere, sisters; Crystal Gere  and  companion Anthony; Misty Gere- Tanner and husband Jimmy; and Ericka Gere. Her nephews; Ryan , Jaden, Christian, Aurelius, Leonidas, Jaxon, Charlie, Chance, Chayce; Nieces; Arrianna, Rylee, Everlee, Averee; Great nieces Jade and Gracelynn,  and great nephew; Christian Jr.   She is also survived by numerous, aunts,  uncles and cousins.  Michelle requested to be cremated and a memorial service will be held on June 13, 2020 at  1:00 in the Carlsbad Cemetery with Pastor Eric Rheaume officiating.  A celebration of life,  will be held afterward at 128 Coleman Road. Service's have been entrusted to the professionals of Grace Funeral and Cremation Care Inc.
